We use the DOLE monthly-paid convention: daily = monthly × 12 ÷ 313 working days, hourly = daily ÷ 8. Annual is simply monthly × 12. Government computations use these same factors.

A freelancer charging ₱300/hour isn't richer than an employee earning the same hourly equivalent. Freelancers pay their own SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG, both shares of taxes, plus no paid leaves, 13th month, or HMO. Rule of thumb: freelance rates should run roughly double the employee-equivalent just to break even on benefits.
